Current Resume There are many resources on the internet to help you compose your resume. As well, MS Word has ready-made templates. Be sure not to use the exact same resume that you created in grade ten. You should have more skills and experience to add. As well, this should be a more “polished” version from MS Word, not your grade 10 Career Cruising resume. Drop-in Fridays are a great day to pop in and ask your GT teacher to review your resume with you. You’ll probably need to turn in at least two or three drafts.Be sure to use “action verbs” to list your skills and accomplishments. Short on verbs?? Never fear! There’s a fabulous list online…just CLICK HERE.

MS Word Templates are available here: Template 1, Template 2, Template 3

Exit Interview Exit Interview: Present your portfolio to a parent or another adult, form signed, then present to your GT12 teacher at your scheduled appointment time The final component of GT12 is your exit interview. This is your opportunity to present your portfolio to your GT12 teacher and another adultClick here to download your GT Presentation Checklist & Evaluation. Be sure that your portfolio includes ALL aspects listed BEFORE you attend your Exit Interview. Remember that this is a pass/fail credit required for graduation. If you are missing any of these aspects, your presentation will not be considered “complete.”

When your interview with a parent or another adult is complete, and they have signed your checklist, you will present your portfolio to your GT12 teacher and turn in the checklist. At that point, you may be given permission to use your GT block as a study block. You should still sign in and out of the school if you are not in the building during this block. Keep in mind that if your performance in other classes is not satisfactory, you may lose this privilege.

When scholarship information becomes available in the spring, students interested in applying will attend scholarship meetings during their GT blocks. You will be welcome to drop by to use the computer or receive assistance with scholarship applications during your block, as well.
